Timber Carbon

For building owners & developers

Turn your Building into a Carbon Removal Asset

A building's climate performance doesn't have to stay invisible. We make it measurable, have it independently verified and turn it into a tradable asset. This additional source of funding offsets the extra cost of timber and makes choosing it easier.

Turning climate performance into value

Building with timber removes carbon from the atmosphere and locks it into the building long-term. We certify this performance and turn it into an asset.

01

A new asset

Each tonne of CO₂ removed becomes a verified, tradable credit. A value that was previously hidden in your building.

02

Insetting

The value of the credits from your building can be counted toward your own climate balance and used for mandatory and voluntary reporting. A contribution from your own value chain to your net-zero targets.

03

Additional funding

The proceeds from selling the credits flow back into your project and offset the extra cost of timber construction.

The deciding factor: in borderline cases, this value can tip the material decision toward timber, on economic grounds, not just environmental ones.

Process

Six steps to a Timber Carbon Credit

From project intake to selling the credits, every building project goes through six clearly defined steps, fully handled digitally and under internationally recognised standards.

01

Project registration

onboarding the building project into the certification process.

02

Data capture & documentation

gathering all construction and material data, including due-diligence review.

03

Carbon quantification

conservative calculation of net removal against the baseline ("mineral twin"), including additionality.

04

Independent verification

third-party review by an accredited verification body (VVB) after completion.

05

Credit issuance

ex-post issuance of the removal credits in the registry; tradable and traceable.

06

Carbon removal management & sale

ongoing management of the removed carbon through the platform.

What makes us unique?

We have been working on the methodology since 2021 and are the first to measure the carbon locked in a building's timber load-bearing structure and turn it into credits at country level. This creates a new, robust argument for timber buildings and a lever to decarbonise the entire building sector.
