About
Carbon developer for the real estate sector
We make the climate performance of buildings measurable, verifiable and tradable. Swiss, built on 30 years of timber engineering — and since 2021 a pioneer in establishing timber as a recognised carbon removal solution.

mission & vision
From forests to green cities

Mission
We turn buildings' climate performance into value — making every building a source of verified carbon removal. This gives the real estate industry a tool to make climate-friendly building more economically attractive and to decarbonise the building sector.
Vision
We want to double the share of timber in multi-storey construction within ten years. Switzerland already has the world's highest share. From here, we're driving the transformation toward "green cities".
journey
We built the standard before selling a single credit.
Our foundation is set — now we scale.
01
Geographic
beyond the DACH region, with a system adaptable to further countries.
02
Material
beyond timber to further biobased building materials.
03
platform
expanding the digital ecosystem (login, API/SaaS, carbon-intelligence tools) from design phase to dashboard.
04
Integration
connecting to real estate valuation tools so climate performance feeds directly into building valuation.
05
Tailwind
SBTi, Oxford Principles, GHG Protocol, EU CRCF, UNFCCC and other climate-relevant frameworks recognise timber construction as carbon removal.
Team
The team behind Timber Carbon
Deep roots in forestry, timber engineering and climate finance — our team combines the expertise it takes to turn buildings into verified carbon removals.

Experienced business and project developer focused on climate finance and strategy. His expertise sits at the interface of the forestry, timber and construction industries. Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering (TU Braunschweig).

Computer scientist with experience across major companies and startups in the financial sector. He works AI-first, in short development cycles and with a clear preference for simple, efficient solutions that streamline processes and get products into use quickly. At Timber Carbon he leads the development of the digital ecosystem, from data capture to dashboard. Master of Science in Computer Science (EPFL), with studies at UPC Barcelona and KTH Stockholm.

Architect with international experience (Spain, Lebanon, Switzerland), focused on sustainable materials and energy efficiency. At Timber Carbon he plans and delivers timber buildings as carbon removal projects and co-develops methodology and SaaS solutions. Studying MSc Wood Technology at Bern University of Applied Sciences.

Combines experience from architecture, site management and real estate management and approaches building projects consistently from a carbon perspective. Guides timber projects through carbon certification — from first conversation to delivery. Currently training as a certified energy and environmental technician (HF).
