A growing forest takes carbon out of the air. A harvested log keeps it, for as long as the wood stays in service. And a building made of timber does not need the concrete and steel it replaces. WaldSchweiz, the association of Swiss forest owners, puts that chain into a short animation, and it is the clearest two-minute version of the argument we know.

Three steps, one cycle

The video follows carbon through the forest and into the building. Trees absorb it while they grow, sustainable harvesting keeps the forest productive, the wood holds the carbon in the product it becomes, and every cubic metre used in construction displaces a material that would have emitted. Each step is uncontroversial on its own. Together they explain why forestry and construction belong in the same climate conversation.

Where our work starts

The video explains the mechanism. Our part is the number. Timber Carbon quantifies how much carbon a specific building locks into its load-bearing structure, has the removal verified under internationally recognised standards, and issues Timber Carbon Credits for it. What the animation shows as a cycle becomes, for a single project, a measured and verified figure.
