About the project
Benkert, a Franconian green-roof specialist founded in 1992, is building its new company headquarters in Hassfurt — and practising what it preaches: a two-storey office building in timber, crowned by its own living green roof.
The building anchors a 13-million-euro relocation of the entire company campus under the motto 'Benkert for future', using both softwood and hardwood in its structure. Office, showroom and green roof together become a walk-in reference project for the company's own craft.
Ready by the end of 2026, the building combines two climate solutions in one: carbon-storing timber construction below, cooling, water-retaining greenery on top.
