About the project

Brauipark creates a new neighbourhood for around 280 people in Affoltern am Albis: some 156 rental and owner-occupied apartments plus childcare, retail and health services, a short walk from the station.

The site tells a genuine transformation story — a former brewery and chemical works, voluntarily and fully decontaminated before construction. The apartment buildings are erected in timber, complemented by clay walls in place of conventional masonry, with wood sourced from the Alpine region, Vorarlberg and the Black Forest.

A wood-fired district heating network and a large solar plant power the quarter. Occupied from 2026, Brauipark turns an industrial brownfield into a long-term carbon sink, certified under the Rainbow Standard.
