What makes us unique?
We have been working on the methodology since 2021 and are the first to measure the carbon locked in a building's timber load-bearing structure and turn it into credits at country level. This creates a new, robust argument for timber buildings and a lever to decarbonise the entire building sector.

A Timber Carbon Removal Credit (TCRC) represents one tonne of CO₂ locked long-term in a building's load-bearing structure. Verified, traceable and issued only after completion.

At the core is structural timber, built into the load-bearing structure, which locks this carbon away for decades to centuries. the methodology
The methodology
Timber construction is a recognised carbon removal solution (IPCC, UNFCCC) and makes a valuable contribution to climate action. To meet the 2050 climate targets, around 7–10 gigatonnes of CO₂ must be removed from the atmosphere each year. Timber buildings can contribute up to around 6 %.
A credit is only worth as much as the accuracy behind it. Our quantification is based on recognised methodologies (ICROA, ICVCM, EU CRCF) and delivers high-quality credits. This makes a building's climate impact transparent and turns it into a robust, tradable value.
Five criteria for high-quality carbon removal credits:

The gross carbon removed through timber is adjusted for the reference scenario (conventional construction / BAU) and for the project's own production and construction emissions (A1–A5). What remains is the conservatively calculated net carbon removal, and exactly this yields the removal credits. (Quantified to ISO 14064-2, EPD-based.)

A credit is only as credible as its review. That's why every project is independently verified and tracked end-to-end in the registry, embedded in the leading international climate standards.
We currently work with the Rainbow Standard: ICVCM-approved (Core Carbon Principles), meets the ICROA requirements and is aligned with the EU Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF, from 2027). The methodology combines engineering practice with science and meets the highest credit-quality requirements.
