About the project
This commercial development in Wil, St. Gallen, is the new home of one of eastern Switzerland's leading timber construction companies — a production hall and open-space office building erected by the firm itself.
The two-storey buildings combine timber-frame construction with hollow-box floor elements, all prefabricated in the company's own plant using spruce from the mountain forests of Graubünden. A timber builder constructing its own headquarters in wood is the most credible showcase of the trade.
Opened in 2025 with a festival drawing thousands of visitors, the site anchors 125 jobs and 23 apprenticeships in the region — and serves as a long-term carbon store, certified under the Rainbow Standard.
