About the project
Prutscher, an Allgäu timber-module specialist, has extended its own works in Oy-Mittelberg with a four-storey office building in wood — a 13-metre 'mini high-rise' that doubles as a full-scale showroom of the company's building systems.
Seminar rooms, planning offices and meeting spaces with sample displays occupy the prefabricated timber structure, built to Germany's 'climate-friendly non-residential building' standard. Clients experience the product by simply walking through the builder's own workplace.
Completed in 2024 as part of a wider expansion of production, the building embodies the company's conviction that modular timber construction can reach high-rise class — and stores forest carbon for decades, certified under the Rainbow Standard.
