About the project
Schützenmattpark is one of central Switzerland's larger timber residential developments: eight buildings with 117 apartments and commercial space in Inwil, Lucerne, rising five storeys in timber-frame construction with timber-concrete composite floors.
The entire structure was prefabricated in the builder's own factory in nearby Root using wood from central Swiss forests — short transport routes and regional value creation from forest to façade. The development targets the demanding Minergie-A-ECO standard, with geothermal heating and a large rooftop solar plant.
First residents move in from 2026 into a car-lite neighbourhood with sharing services — a new quarter that doubles as a substantial long-term carbon sink, certified under the Rainbow Standard.
