About the project

Weissenberger, a Franconian roofing and timber-construction business grown from a one-man operation in 1991 to some 35 specialists, is nearly tripling its premises with a new company building in Schwebenried — erected by its own carpenters in wood.

The two-storey building anchors the firm's expansion to a planned fifty employees and ten apprenticeships, with modernised production technology under a timber structure of over 1,000 cubic metres.

Moving in from 2026, the company joins the growing list of building-trade businesses that practise what they build: a craftsman's own headquarters as proof of timber's everyday viability — and as a long-term carbon store, certified under the Rainbow Standard.
