About the project
Wiitsicht is a residential development on the rural edge of Bettwil, Aargau: two timber apartment buildings with 14 condominiums and a single-family house, built on the site of a former farm. Floors and load-bearing walls store forest carbon for the long term.
The project was delivered from a single source — planning, prefabrication and assembly all within one family-run timber group, with elements produced in its own factory. A ventilated façade of untreated silver fir and spruce ties the buildings into the village landscape.
Completed in 2024, Wiitsicht was among the first projects to generate timber carbon credits in the portfolio, its climate performance independently quantified and certified.
